It looks like Assam is making a significant investment in improving the infrastructure of its rural schools, which could greatly benefit students and communities. The project, with a total budget of Rs 1,827 crore, aims to build or upgrade 252 government schools across the state, particularly in rural areas, by providing better facilities and resources.

Director of Secondary Education Mamata Hojai’s statement highlights that the project is part of a broader initiative under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF). The focus on schools selected from each of the 126 assembly constituencies shows a targeted approach to addressing regional educational needs.

It’s good to hear that construction work is already underway, and the new infrastructure should be ready by next year.
